In Barbados, the plans are already causing a disturbance of the status quo from telecom companies there who are afraid that the availability of WiFi and VOIP will allow for more affordable communication from other providers such as mobile communications app companies that are able to offer free member to member calling and texting as well as the lowest possible international calling rates by utilizing VOIP and WiFi technology.
