Orono - Once a year, the basement of Orono's Black Bear Inn becomes the setting for a reunion.
"It's like waiting for Christmas," said Brewer resident, Chris Florey.
Hundreds make the trip from all over New England.
"I live 300 miles away, and it feels like when we see people after a whole year no time has gone at all," said Vermont native, Jen Barber.
Barber came for the first time last year, and decided the the trip was worth making again.
"It was five hours in terrible weather and it was awesome."
SnowCon has been attracting gamers to Orono for the last four years.
"The idea of SnowCon, for us, is to get people to sit face to face across the table and enjoy playing games," said co-organizer, Monique Bouchard.
While it only happens one weekend a year, the hundreds in attendance think it's a reunion worth waiting for.
