An interactive entertainment computer system is popularly known as a video game console. It is a machine which produces a signal that is used with a display device such as a television or monitor to project a video game.
A video game console is designed for people who want to use it to play games from a PC. Eight generations of these gaming systems have been introduced so far.
Some of the gaming systems in the seventh generation have become very popular such as nintendo dsi. The common features introduced in this generation include support for new disc formats such as Blu-ray Disc (for PlayStation 3), HD DVD (Xbox 360), etc.
The use of motion as input is another new technology introduced in this generation, as is the support for wireless controllers. Xbox 360 was the first seventh-generation game console introduced by Microsoft, followed by Sony?s Play station 3 and the Nintendo Wii.
