It's really not a great week for Eddie Cibrian.
The actor, 38, was rushed to a Chicago-area hospital Tuesday night after hurting his right heel shooting The Playboy Club at Cinespace Studios, a source told the Chicago Sun-Times. Cibrian sustained a "deep gash" while running through an alley and getting his foot stuck beneath a 200-pound steel door.

The on-set injury comes after news that NBC's The Playboy Club has been canceled after just three episodes -- the very first casualty of TV's fall season. Adding to the string of bad luck? On Monday morning, a reportedly drunk driver slammed his car into a fence outside the Hidden Hills, Calif. home Cibrian and wife LeAnn Rimes share.

"My family could have been seriously injured and any situation where someone is drinking and driving should not be taken lightly," Rimes, 30, Tweeted. "Needless to say, it was a very unsettling call to receive this morning. Thank goodness the young driver and everyone at home are ok."
